Hungary Team Update #2Written by stephaniek on Jun 23, 2015 in Uncategorized - No Comments
A couple of blog posts after Monday, Day 1 of soccer camp.
I’m listening to my children giggle in the room next to mine at the Hotel Romantika in Diosd, Hungary. They got up at 6:00 this morning (that’s 10:00pm for you!) And helped run a soccer camp outside until 5:15 this afternoon. They ran soccer drills, gave piggy back rides, encouraged kids who don’t speak their language, served food, and cleaned up the facilities at the end of the day. I’m THRILLED to hear them giggling. If I’m THRILLED……I wonder how God feels? I am genuinely, from my heart, sincerely sure that He was THRILLED times 10 to see all of HIS children giggling today!
I know it is only day 3 of actually being in Budapest, but I can already see God is using us here. He is so amazing, compassionate and loving! Words can’t express how much he has opened my eyes over here…to the people and their love for Christ in the church we are working in. I feel like sometimes I put God in this little box and I contain him to just us in the United States, but oh is that so wrong! He is everywhere and always present. He is the same God with the same promises. It is just amazing to see us working together to accomplish his will! Another thing that has truly been amazing to see is that God’s love isn’t blocked by language barriers. It is shown through our actions. His love is so radiant in these children over here. They have captured my heart in so many ways! I can’t wait to see what God has in store for the rest of our time in this beautiful country!
