In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Walter Arroyo has been in touch with our partner, Christian Service Mission about how we can come alongside them to help. CSM is working with other partner organizations in Florida, Georgia & the Carolinas. They already sent two trucks filled with supplies on Monday and will be sending more in the coming weeks. MBCC will be contributing to help cover the cost of some of these trucks, and here are a couple of tangible ways that you can help:

1. 1. Christian Service Mission is collecting cases of water, non-perishable food items, and cleaning supplies. These items may be dropped off at the CSM Warehouse (3600 3rd Avenue South) Monday-Thursday from 7:30-3:30 or Friday from 7:30-1:30. Items may be dropped off this week or next.
   2. You can make a financial contribution to MBCC for hurricane relief. We will then collect all of these donations, and 100% of the funds will be given to relief efforts through Christian Service Mission and other ministries who have expertise in crisis response. Please click here to give online, and select “hurricane relief” in the fund drop down. You can also send a check with “hurricane relief” in the memo. We ask that if you plan to give to this offering, please do so by Sunday, October 13th.

Most importantly, please continue to pray for all of the people affected and the ongoing rescue and recovery efforts.
